Call for Papers

NN'99 - Neural Networks in Applications

Fourth International Workshop

March 4 - 5, 1999, Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg

Motivation

Neural Network applications are introduced into different disciplines - such as pattern recognition, image processing, robotics, automation, diagnosis, medicine, economics, financial services and knowledge processing. In addition, Neural Networks (NN) are often combined with other methods, such as fuzzy set theory or evolutionary algorithms.

Hence, there is a demand for opportunities for young scientists to meet and to discuss aspects of different approaches and applications of neural networks. In this sense, we are pleased to invite to the fourth workshop "Neural Networks in Applications NN'99".

After taking place twice at the University of Stuttgart, the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg is organising this workshop also for the second time. The Workshop is jointly organised by the working group Technical Computer Science of the IPE and by the working group Neural Networks and Fuzzy Systems of the IWS.

In addition to the accepted papers, there will be invited presentations giving the opportunity to discuss with renowned researchers in the field of neural networks and bordering disciplines.

Topics

Papers can be submitted in short form (1-3 pages) or in long form (10 pg. max.). The accepted papers are published in the workshop proceedings. Submissions of papers are related but not limited to the topics listed below.
